Kickin’ Bass South Florida Style in 2010!!

Josh Schreiber with a beautiful 6 -10 largemouth bass in the Florida Everglades!

Josh comes down from PA. every year to do some bass fishing and to get away from the cold for a while. Well, this trip he brought the cold with him as well as some great bass fishing! Josh caught I dont know how many fish in his 3 or 4 days of fishing…but the memorable ones were his biggest ever at 6 pounds 10 ounces…and 2 or 3 more over 5 pounds! We were also able to get on some peacock bass for a couple of hours in Miami!

We have had record low temperatures every day since the new year and that has pushed the bass into their spawn. All the larger females we are catching are full of eggs and ready to pop. As I am writing this it is in the low 30’s outside with water temps in the middle 50’s!! Our bass sure don’t have a problem with it though. I have been on the water just about every day through this unusually cold weather and we have had awesome bass fishing on every trip! Even for our peacock bass! The best fishing we have seen was last Saturday where Christoph from Austria and his father in law landed 127 largemouth bass in the glades on soft plastics and crankbaits! It’s a lot of fun…come on down and lets go bass fishing!
