Marcel and his buddies came out for a great half day Florida bass fishing trip!
All the way from Montreal they came to get out of that cold weather! We only had 3 hours to fish as the guys were heading to a horse race here in town. We fished a run of mine at Holiday Park that produced a few really nice bass. These fish are funneling out of the flats in a post spawn mode and feeding pretty heavily at times. Today was a bit tougher and we had to really slow down to catch our bass.
The best baits for us have been a senko wacky rigged either weightless or with a small weight, a baby pac a craw flipped in the grass or the pads and the trusty old Zoom super fluke. When the bass start to eat I like the Zoom fluke or the skinny dipper. All the baits are easy to fish and we can also load up on some live baits if that style of fishing is more to your liking.
